Micrium and Atollic® today announced that TrueSTUDIO® has been adopted by Micrium as an officially supported C/C++ development IDE for Micrium's real-time operating system solutions.
Micrium offers a complete lineup of RTOS solutions appropriate for a broad spectrum of applications, including those normally considered safety-critical. One of the anchors of this lineup is uC/OS-III, a carefully crafted real-time kernel that provides efficient multitasking capabilities.
Atollic TrueSTUDIO can now be used for development of uC/OS-II and uC/OS-III based RTOS applications, and the TrueSTORE contains an example project as welll!

Feature highlights:
- Integrated support for Atollic TrueSTORE, a super-simple example project download and installation system, containing hundreds of example projects already from the start. Hundreds of additional example projects will be added in the coming days and weeks.
- A simplified way of opening projects from the Microsoft File Explorer
- Continued efforts regarding ease-of-getting-started for new users
- Support for headless build (supporting batch or nightly-builds for example)
- A redesigned debugger, which is much faster and contains a large amount of small improvements in many different places. Also introduced is a new Interrupt statistics graph, built on top of Serial Wire Viewer (SWV) real-time tracing!
- Generic support for the Cortex™-M0+ core
- Support for the new STM32F0 family (STM32 based on Cortex™-M0), including STM32F0-Discovery and STM320518-EVAL boards.
- Support for the new Freescale Kinetis 50MHz and 72MHz devices including the TWR-K20D50M, TWR-K20D72M and TWR-K60D100M boards.

The launch of the Atollic TrueSTORE service coincides with the latest release of Atollic’s award-winning C/C++ compiler and debugger IDE, Atollic TrueSTUDIO® v3.1 next week.
“With Atollic TrueSTORE, we continue to lead the innovation in embedded IDE’s for the benefit of embedded C/C++ developers around the world”, says Magnus Unemyr, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Atollic. “Embedded developers can now choose from hundreds of example projects, and download and install them into the most powerful embedded IDE with just one mouse-click”.
Atollic TrueSTORE is a repository of hundreds of free example projects that are available to suit many different microcontroller-based evaluation boards. Atollic TrueSTUDIO users will be able to quickly find the latest set of available projects on the Atollic TrueSTORE server, and download them into the active Atollic TrueSTUDIO® workspace with just a single mouse-click. This greatly simplifies the development process and allows embedded designers to quickly select a desired project template and have it running on target hardware within minutes.
As the system is based on the real-time discovery of new projects over the internet, new example projects instantly become available to all TrueSTUDIO developers that are using Atollic TrueSTUDIO v3.1 or higher without the need to wait for regularly released software upgrades. In the coming weeks and months Atollic TrueSTORE will be extended with a large number of additional example projects.
